I gue if I was Truman, I’d never figure out the truth, I’d never have the guts to go to sea anyway At first I actually felt sympathy for Truman, his life was a lie since he was born, everyone was pretending around him, he even fake lost a father.but then I thought, the actors, they are totally pathetic, they have to act 24 hours a day, that’s all they have to do, it’s like they have no real life but to be on TV cause they’re being filmed every second , now that’s even more fake than Truman’s life cause they’re pretending.and at least Truman believed in adventure , he had real feelings for this little town of his
oh and I still remember his best friend repeating what christof told him to say: if everyone is a part of it, that makes me a part of it too, and the last thing I’d ever do, is lie to you.But the fact is everything is just a lie
I mean how could he even say that like he really means it.And another line I remember is in case I don’t see ya , good afternoon good evening and good night, this line repeated three or four times, and it really made a big impreion, Truman was as optimistic as always
I still didn’t get why christof nearly tried to kill Truman after treating him like a prisoner for so long.Good thing Truman didn’t chicken out and turned back
And I also didn’t get why the movie ended so rapidly, I was expecting a scene where Sylvia and Truman finally meets..but I gue the writer ‘s purpose was to leave more space for imagination or something.Anyway, awesome movie~ I totally got what it was trying to say, jim carrey is a fantastic actor!
