I feel deeply after I watch Truman show.It makes me think about our life and media Truman is a leading role in his own world unconsciously. He lives in that peaceful world out of willingne.Do the creature that others pay attention to.His own life is control by director.Life to him is real but fake.Truman’s life is completely open to the ma.People knew everything he does, such as how he was born, went to school, got a job,got married and so on.They are witne of Truman’s life.Everyone live together with him are all performers.Everything they do is in the director’s arrangement. His wife, who is claimed herself a doctor, is not a doctor at all.His father, who was died in a storm, is still alive. All performers are supposed to be cheat.Truman’s life is absolutely a vast lie.But when you know your life is rally a lie, do you have to courage to expose it? Will you choose to give up your peaceful life under control rather than to be the leading role of your show? Not everyone has the courage to go out.May be you will say: “It is easy to go out.”

But we can’t understand, predict and control the outside world, can you?

Sometimes I wonder if I also live in that fake world.Am I the real leading role of my Truman Show? I don’t know.If I live in this situation, I will be angry and want to escape from this huge prison.I will feel disrespect and boring because in my mind no one has the right to arrange my life.No one can control it including me.My life is supposed to be an adventure.Nobody knows what is going to happen. If it is like a soap opera as Trumann’s, it will be meaningle.Nobody wants to be a victim of media. But I have to admit, media is powerful, we can’t live without it and we have to suffer from it, especially stars.Nowadays media is full of our daily life.We surf the internet to look up news whenever we want.We like to watch movies, news, soap operas, talk shows or other television programs in our leisure time.Surfing the internet to know anything we want to know.We always talk with our clamates about everything happened around us, such as new movies on show, new songs, the scandal about starts and so on.Public figures seems don’t have the right to keep privacy. They are beneficiaries of media, but also victims. What can we do to avoid us suffer from media, or to avoid being violated and misleading? I think we should not rely on media everywhere and anytime.Sometimes we should have our own judgments rather than follow those so called experts. We had better more focus on our daily life not the famous person’s.We had better not spending to much time on watching TV and try to do something meaningful by watching TV.We should make full use of media rather than rely on it.

Dont repeat Trumans life, be brave in the face of all, have the courage to look for, let beautiful to occupy everything, even if he had been cheated, because, the soft is to belong to our own mind, always can not cover the clouds is the sun.

(Truman show the world about it)

Jim Carrey proved he could play it straight (well, at least a portion of the time) as a family man in Liar Liar, his 1997 comedy blockbuster. With The Truman Show, the elastic-faced, loose-limbed dynamo shows he can also be as serious as needed, in the title role of this imaginative tale of an electronic-age guinea pig. Screenwriter Andrew Niccol, whose directing debut, Gattaca, cautioned against the potential tyranny of genetic advances, again finds reasons for paranoia in technological progress, as an innocent named Truman Burbank becomes the unknowing, all-consuming subject of a 24-hour television network. Niccols unconventional fable is superbly realized by director Peter Weir (Fearless, Dead Poets Society, Witness), who fashions a disorienting visual style to fit the artifice and pent-up anxiety of Trumans world.

Niccol and Weir shrewdly immerse the audience in this oddly cheerful environment, without immediate explanations of whats really going on behind its sunny fa?ade. Truman lives with his wholesome wife Meryl (Laura Linney) in a picture-perfect house in the squeaky-clean island community of Seahaven, where he works for a large insurance firm. His days paby uneventfully, until a series of incidents shake him out of his complacency: A huge piece of lighting equipment falls out of the sky. A homeleman appears who looks just like Trumans dead father. Strange radio transmissions, like stage directions, come out of his car radio. For the first time, Truman begins to suspect that something is rotten in Seahaven.

Nearly halfway through the film, we learn the truth: Since birth, Truman has been watched by a phalanx of hidden cameras, his every waking move transmitted to an increasingly addicted, international television audience. Seahaven is actually the worlds largest studio set; the sky, the ocean, the stars and the sunsets are fakes, and the weather is controlled by outside forces. Whats more, everyone Truman encounters in his daily routine is an actor-even his wife and his best friend Marlon (Noah Emmerich) are on the payroll. This enormous charade is the handiwork of Christof (Ed Harris), a megalomaniacal conceptual artist who sees nothing wrong with the mass-appeal social experiment hes concocted. Christof has kept Truman from puncturing the boundaries of his world by staging a childhood boating accident in which the boys father apparently drowned; Truman has been deathly afraid of the water ever since. The other key incident in Trumans life was unplanned-a budding romantic affair with a college student who tried to spill the secret of Seahaven, but was suddenly sent away to the island of Fiji (or so Truman believes).

(Follow Your Heart)

Honestly, I have seen few movies, no matter Chinese movies or foreign movies. Therefore, I treated movies only as entertainment before. I never thought that a movie can have profound meaning and can provoke my thoughts on my life and the world.

It is always true that people hold various reviews from different perspectives. My focus on this movie is freedom.

It seems that Truman is familiar with the world he lives. However, he gradually ascertains that his life is exposed on television because a kind-hearted girl Sylvia reminds him to notice his life. Ultimately, Truman overcomes the obstacles both from the “outside” and inside. The “outside” is completely controlled by Christof, the creator of The Truman Show. What he does is to encumber Truman’s leaving in order to maintain his audience. As for Truman himself, he is terrified of the water and dogs. There’s no doubt that these factors impede his escape. Truman’s action proves a saying----“It’s by no means easy to get freedom.”

Imagining a world that everything is arranged for me, what should I do? Like Truman, escape from it to pursue my own happiness, or just live the “normal” life-----in such life I’ m unable to discern whether my love loves me whole-heartedly, and my friend is loyal to me or not. That’s the reason why freedom is extremely invaluable. Freedom bestows a variety of choices on me so that I can create my ideal life on my own instead of controlling by others. When it comes to freedom, it is connected with delight and satisfaction. The reason is quite simple: as an adult, I can make decision about selection, no matter it is marvelous or disappointing. It’s my own choice. Furthermore, freedom means little or no burden. It provides me with a chance to put what I intend to do into practice without fear of failure. Like the rainbow on the sky after several days’ heavy rain, freedom is the precious treasure one finally get through struggle. For Truman, maybe the “new” world waiting for him is not so perfect, however, he, as human being, belongs to it instead of television.

Similarly, together with the movie The Shawshank Redemption, they exert inspiring impact on me. At the beginning, I think that they are accustomed to their situation. But, both of them choose a new life full of unbeknown changes. They are brave enough to challenge their limitations. Their perseverance also plays a significant role on their way to pursue freedom. Only this real world, blending angel with devil, can offer them reality and security.

Truman’s experience attests that people must pay for their pursuit of freedom. Sometimes, obtaining freedom means that people have to give up their routine life which is hard for them to get rid of. Sometimes, gaining freedom means people have to experience tough test. If they have the capability to pass through it, they win and gain freedom. But if they fail to pass, maybe freedom will be a distant dream they can hardly achieve.

Mental freedom is easier than physical freedom in my sight. In light of Truman’s saying----“You never had a camera in my head.” No one can pour his or her thoughts into my mind which I’m not interested in. I own the freedom to imagine freely, however, others have no rights to interfere. But, just imagine. That is what I consider as mentally free. Physical freedom is always a symbol of endeavoring and honing. Truman experiences heavy storm that ordinary people can’t bear, cheat and privacy exposal. At last, he reaches the path leading to freedom, hence, I understand the truth----Don’t count on imagination only, sometimes it turns out to be mirage. What I need to do is to spare no effort to turn my dream into reality.

It is Truman himself who impedes his way to acquire freedom. Meanwhile, it’s also himself who paves the way for freedom. There’s no denying that his choice depends on his resolution and courage. It reminds me that I myself is the final one to make decision and be responsible for my future.

Christof says, “He (Truman) can leave at any time if he has more than just a vague ambition, if he was absolutely determined to discover the truth.” His words apply to freedom pursuit, not for Truman only, but also for all “true men”.

People won’t cherish what they get smoothly, it’s so normal that people forget it quickly. The beauty of freedom indwells not in the consequence, but in the process, especially the process of struggling, endeavoring and conceiving. People always bear in mind their spectacular and unusual experience and they perceive it as their permanent possession. Youth and life should not be conservative, and people should not waste time on boggling. If people have no idea what to do for their future, just calm down and follow the voice of their heart. Hear is the source of power, inspiration, courage and so forth. Heart never lies to people. So, hearing the voice of heart, plus endeavor, one day people have the ability to obtain freedom so that their dreams will come true.
