Having read the novel Gone With The Wind written by American writer Margaret Mitchell,I was deeply shockted.As one said “The novel, which Margaret spent about 10 years on, not only created a myth,but also show her own personal charm to the world.”Novel's underground is based on the Civil War which happened in the United States.We first meet Scarlet O'Hara at her home, Tara, where she spends her days attending barbecues at the neighboring plantation owned by the Wilkes family and flirting with various gentlemen callers.Heroine Scarlett is a simple but very complex figure.On the surface she has kinds of good quality,quiet, good-hearted, full of ability like her mother Aland, but the vast majority of cases, the restle temperamenrd to her behavior.Contacting her at first, I thought that she is just a beautiful, stubborn and proud prince.She 's so beautiful that almost all the young men in the book are tempated by her.She seems to have become accustomed to dealing within these young men, like a cold hot fire but locked of love to blame, which almost makes many men crazy.She has strong cravings in all the good things, and she wants to take away all the boy's.However, after reading the book ,I find myself admire and respect her courage and activity.“After all, tomorrow is another day.” she give me the strength and tell me to be strong when I have trouble, although there are also many shortages on her, anyway, I like her.Maybe you wouldsayMelanie Hamilton is more kind, gentle and honorable than Scarlett, Melanie is the ideal image of kindne and morality: she mirrors Ashley's love for her, and even when faced with the opportunity to evict Scarlet from her home for flirting with Ashley, she welcomes her with open arms;she sees nothing but goodne in her.but I think Melanie is too perfect to find in our reality, she seems to be untrue.How can we find such a perfect person in our society? but Scarlett does exist in the reality ,she is true and lively
It is the War that has changed Scarlett, and it also enables me to a better understanding toward her.She kills the Northen soliders at the critical moment, and creats a causein extreme poverty.It all reflects her strength, courage.About her love, I think she is unfortunate, because she was in love with Ashley---a person she never understand, and at last she found it’s not Ashley that she was in love with ,but her own feelings she imagined on him.In order to protect her families and industries, she had to get
married with Frank Kennedy, which shows her spirit of sacrifice to us.Finally, when she realized that the man she really love is Rhett, it’s too late.“You're throwing away happine with both hands.And reaching out for something that will never make you happy.” That is right , and I hope I will never like her in my love
From this book , I think I should learn from Scarlett , to be more strong and more confident to do things.Just say “Tomorrow is another day” to myself.Do everything , do carry on!
