At first, I want to talk about Thomas Hardy.He was an English author of croing two century.New industrialization was impact on ancient area in that century.There was a variety of contradiction.So I could watch Te of the D’urbeivilles which was touched our heart of novel.Te Durbeyfield was a pure and simple country girl.Te asked for going to the family of Alec D’urbervilles when her parents knew themselves to be a direct descendant of noble family of D’urbervilles.Te met Alec who was attracted by her.After a long premeditation, Te was lost girlish purity.And from that time, Te’s life was to be completely changed.She had a baby, but nobody gave the baby baptism.The next day, the baby dead and Te was buried the child by herself.She had suffered, and hope of finding a place with no memories.Then, she looked hard for work away from home.Te was to be a milkmaid in dairy barn.Meanwhile, she met and fell in love with Angel Clare.I thought Te would gained happine of life, and even better than we can imagined.But life is forever unknown.After the wedding, Te and Angel confeed their past to each other.Te forgave Angel for his past.On the contrary, Angel could not forgive Te having a child with another man.He thought Te cheated him and she was not a pure girl.Angel ran away from her.Te went through hardship again, maybe the right man to love hardly ever comes at the right time for loving in life.Te met Alec again when she sought a job.She get entangled by Alec who wear black parson’s clothes.Te resented Alec but had to live together.Alec helped her family avoid poor life.However, Angel had regretted his behavior to ask for the pardon of Te.So Te thought that Alec tricked her and led to the source of his suffering.Unfortunately, she killed the man and had happy life with Angel for seven days.Then polices asked Te away.After I reading the novel, I can’t help meditating who led to this tragedy.Te was a beautiful and pure girl;she yearned for a truth and kindne of life, but suffered from hypocrisy.Although she lost her virginity, she still looked forward to love.Te was braved enough to challenge fate, but still suffered the abandon of so-call rules.Finally, she had to become a murder.Why would appear this kind of situation? It is truth that her parents more love money than her or her husband’s selfish and mistrust even Alec had evil intentions.What’s more, there was hypocritical religion and morality in this country.Te was really fallen girl? No , she was a pure person.The kind and unyielding Te is a beam of light in the dark country.Angel was an open-minded intellectual.Although he born in a pastor’s family, he did not want to be a pastor who served god, and more willing to engage family.Angel despised cla bias and hierarchical.But it was such a person, didn’t trust Te and even ran away from her.In his eyes, Te was a nature baby and a symbol of purity.As he knew the truth, he did not understand Te.I don’t know if Angel really loved Te, or his deep-rooted thought gave rise to their tragedy.Of course, it’s worth to forgive Angel when he began to push over decayed thought and accepted his wife.It is so pity.I have gueed that if Angel has not abandoned her, all things may be totally different.Although he regretted his action, but it was too late so that he lost Te forever.Never have such a kind girl loving him.Love should accept the past of another, no matter how bad it is.You should not mind if she or he makes mistakes.Because everyone have the past, you are supposed to understand and accept her or his mistakes if you really love another.And if love have not tolerance, it means that the love id dangerous and will be end.In addition, Te of D’urbervilles reflects the most severe of iue in the prevailing society.It’s uncovered the hypocritical moralizing, mental slavery, emphasis on chastity, inferior women’s position.The novel also is a powerful criticism of the hypocritical moral values in that age.Thus Te’s tragedy is not only a result of the contemporary, but also represents the tragic contemporary society.You should read the novel.You will cherish yourself life after finishing it.After all, I feel ourselves to be much happier and much better off than Te.
