一、教学目标
1、学习课文中的生词。做到会读词、读课文，理解含义。
2、能用简单的句型描述事物的形状。
3、在学习中通过画一画等活动激发学生的学习积极性，培养主动参与的精神。
二、教学重难点
1、学习几种形状的词汇。
1、用英语描绘包含几种形状的图形。
三、教学过程
1、Warm-up
（1）Greeting.（2）Sing a song：We wish you a Merry Christmas.2、Revision
（1）出示圣诞树图片。
（2）Revise the five word: Find the Christmas presents on the tree.They are all shapes.提问：What can you see on the tree？Which shape do you like ？
Children choose their favorite shapes, at the same time get the presents which is / is like a kind of shape.（3）Show the shapes with your body.（4）Find the shapes in our life.3、Relaxation.（1）learn the chant.I’m a triangle.You are a triangle.We can make a rectangle.I’m a triangle.You are a triangle.We can make a square.I’m a triangle.You are a triangle.We can make a diamond.I’m a triangle.You are a triangle.We can make a big triangle
4、Presentation
（1）Teacher draws a bird with two kinds of shapes on the blackboard.（2）Lead the children to talk about the picture.This is a bird.It has two circles and three triangles.（3）Let the children draw any objects with some shapes.5、Homework.Draw a room with shapes and talk about it with you parents.[教学反思]
事物的开头是孩子们在日常生活中觉的东西，所以，如何将描述开头的英语知识生活化是本堂课的突破口。文中，一开始采用了以圣诞老人送礼物的形式引入课题，礼物形状各异，一开始就激发起了学生强烈的兴趣，课堂氛围相当热烈。接着让学生用他们的身体语言去表现形状，用他们的眼睛去观察生活中的各种形状，进一步巩固了所学的单词。文中还用简笔画的形式带出了本堂课的句型，学生在一画一说中很快掌握了新的句子。然后他们自己用形状来画图，猜图和描述，真正地运用了所学的新知识。还用了小诗进行强化，这个环节的创设也非常吸引学生。
