一·展示目标
1.语言功能：识别动物，描述动物 2.学习目标：
（1）学习句型“What’s this? It’s a tiger.It’s big.What are they? They are monkeys.They’re small.”
（2）学习单词：tiger, elephant lion monkey big , small fat 二·预习交流
1复习字母歌“ the ABC Song.”预习新单词，小组内先讨论单词发音或意思。三·合作探究
利用图片学习新单词。
(1)先出示小狗、小猫,熊猫图片，老师用“What’s this?”提问，让学生用“It’s a…”回答。后出示老虎、大象，狮子、猴子图片，教授单词：tiger, elephant lion monkey.(3)教师出示一群猴子和一只猴子的图片，教师分别用“What are they?”They’re monkeys.“What’s this?”“It’s a monkey.”回答。让学生感受不同。
(4)出示不同图片，让学生分别用It’s a… 或They are …来回答训练单词的单复数。
四·训练提升
利用课本活动3小组进行问答练习“What’s this? It’s a tiger.It’s big.What are they? They are monkeys.，一个或两个同学做动作。剩下两个同学一个提问，另一个回答评选出优胜小组在全班进行问答练习。五·达标检测将对应大小写字母连线。
