My dream — a volunteer
Good morning, everyone.Do you have a dream? Is it a big one or just a small dream? It don’t matter.Cause I believe dreams can make people’s life different, colourful and meaningful.People have dreams just like birds have wings.Dreams are the wind for our sails on the ocean.Dreams are the armor for our fragile hearts.Martin Luther King had a dream.Lincoln had a dream.Wang Yaping had adream.Of course, me too.I have a dream.That’s why I stand here.I want to share my dream with you.I want to be a volunteer.When I was child , I had lots of dreams.To be doctor, asoldier and a teacher.But something changed me.A picture in my mind has an important effect on my dream.The red light was shining.A little boy was rushing acro the road.Suddenly, he was caught by a strong hand.Is that a thief? Then he turned around.To his surprise, a grandma in red vest was staring at him angrily.At that second, a truck like the wind driving roared over his side.The little boy was almost hurt by the truck.Everyone on the road was scared.Thanks god.He was saved.The little boy wastrembling and the grandmascoldedhim : “ Don’t cro the road when the red light is on.Be careful and treasure your life.” She sighed deeply and then left quietly.That little boy was me.I don’t even say “ Thank you “ or have her name.But I will never forget the word on her red vest— volunteer.Since then, I try to figure out its deep meaning.I found more red vests around me.At the metro stations, bus stations, the croing, libraries and many public places.From the children to the old people.They are ready to help others at anytime.The same word on their red vests always reminds me that dangerous but lucky moment.From them, I realized that word means help and Selfle dedication.I want to be that word.So, It became my dream.Now, I am one of them.We visit The Old People’s Home,clean the city,help people in trouble.We are everywhere.Our love is anywhere.Personally, I am a good volunteer in my school.My parents are proud of me.They surporrt me with action.We are a volunteer
family.We enjoy the happy time when helping others.Althoug, sometimes it is a little hard.We still move on.So, ladies and gentlemen, my dream comes true.It’s not that hard,right? Come on.Join us.“ We are the one.We are the world ….“
