网易科技讯8月25日消息，苹果CEO史蒂夫·乔布斯周三正式向苹果董事会提交辞职申请。他推荐公司COO蒂姆·库克接任。他在辞职信中表示，自己无法继续担任CEO，不过自己愿意担任公司董事长、董事或普通职员。
以下为辞职信全文：
给苹果董事会和苹果公司：
我常说，如果有那么一天，我无法再胜任苹果CEO，无法再达到大家的期望值，我会在第一时间告诉你们。不幸的是，那个日子终于到了。
在此，我宣布辞去苹果首席执行官职务。如果董事会认为合适的话，我想担任董事长，或者董事甚至普通职员都可以。至于我的继任者，我强烈建议实施我们已定的继任计划，并提名蒂姆·库克担任苹果CEO。
我认为，苹果最光明和最具创新力的日子还在后头。我期待着在新的岗位上看护苹果的成功并为此做出贡献。

I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple’s CEO, I would be the first to let you know.Unfortunately, that day has come.I hereby resign as CEO of Apple.I would like to serve, if the Board sees fit, as Chairman of the Board, director and Apple employee.As far as my succeor goes, I strongly recommend that we execute our succeion plan and name Tim Cook as CEO of Apple.I believe Apple’s brightest and most innovative days are ahead of it.And I look forward to watching and contributing to its succe in a new role.I have made some of the best friends of my life at Apple, and I thank you all for the many years of being able to work alongside you.Steve
