2008年9月8日，这是一个多么神圣的日子啊！举世瞩目的第29届奥运会将在北京隆重举办。第一次，奥运会这一世界体育盛事在中国人自家门口举办。我们应“期待北京，期待奥运”。
终于，这神圣的时刻到来了年9月8日晚上8时，第29届奥运会开幕式在绚丽多彩烟花围绕下的国家体育馆（鸟巢）隆重开幕。整个开幕式的文艺表演以“绿色奥运、人文奥运、科技奥运”为主题，分两个大部分介绍了中国这个文明古国。
一、古代文明以画卷的形式介绍了我国古代的文明历史。四大发明：活字印刷术、造纸术、指南针、火药。文房四保：笔、墨、纸、砚。用来计算时间的日晷，用来击打的乐器缶和两处丝绸之路：陆地丝绸之路和海上丝绸之路。
二、现代风采首先以第29届奥运会主题曲《我和你》亮相，随后分为自然、武术、戏曲等几大部分来分别介绍现代中国的繁荣昌盛。
开幕式的精彩文艺表演过后，就是204个国家和地区的奥运代表团入场。
最神圣的时刻到来了，奥运圣火抵达国家体育场（鸟巢），只见最后一位火柱手李宁接到圣火后，一下子腾空而起，飞到了鸟巢的上方，在上翱翔，慢慢地飞向圣火台的引线旁，刹那间，引火线被李宁点燃了，发出了耀眼的光芒；刹时间，圣火台充满了希望的'火焰；瞬间，中国人民的心灵也被李宁点燃了，涌出了激动的火焰。这真是神圣的时刻啊！代表着奥运会的开始，预祝着中国运动员的成功，象征着中国人民的强大！
随着圣火的点燃，开幕式也就结束了。我期待着中运动员取得好成绩！加油北京！加油中国！
