要做好动词填空题,掌握一定的技巧是很必要的。一般可从下列两个方面来考虑:
1. 确定正确的时态;
2. 确定动词的形式。
下面就这两个方面谈一下“动词填空”的解题技巧和方法,供同学们复习时参考。
一、确定正确的时态
1. 根据时间状语确定时态。
时间状语与时态有着极为密切的关系,例如:A. I_________(write)now. B. I_________ (lose)my pen yesterday. A句的时间状语now,指动作正在进行,故应用现在进行时态,答案应填am writing。B句的时间状语是过去的时间,故动词应用一般过去时态,答案应填lost。
常与各种时态连用的时间状语:
一般现在时:every day,on Sunday等;现在进行时:now,有时句前有Look!或Listen!等词提示; 一般将来时:this Sunday,next week,tomorrow,tomorrow morning,on Friday,in+一个时间段等;一般过去时:yesterday,just now,last year,an hour ago,in 1985等。
2. 根据上、下文来确定时态。
有些句子没有明显的时间状语,这时就可以根据上下文内容来判断时间关系,确定正确的时态。 例如:-Who are you looking for?-I _________ (look) for Xiao Wang.根据下文的语意来确定,本句应用现在进行时, 答案应填am looking。
3. 根据语言习惯来确定时态, 特别是在一些对话中更是如此。
二、确定动词的非谓语形式
如果所填的动词在句子中不作谓语,那么就应考虑用动词的非谓语形式。动词的非谓语形式主要有:动词不定式、动词的-ing形式、过去分词等。到底采用哪一种形式,要根据习惯搭配、各种非谓语形式的用途和特点、修辞及句子结构的要求等方面来决定。
1. 在be busy,what about,how about等之后用动词的-ing形式。例如: What about playing football now?
2. 在介词之后一般动词应用-ing形式。例如:He does well in playing basketball.
3.在keep,enjoy,finish,mind等动词后用动词的-ing形式。 例如:You kept forgetting to bring your book.
4.在动词decide,hope,wish,plan等后面用动词不定式作宾语,而在ask,tell,order,invite之后用动词不定式的复合结构,即“ask sb to do sth”的形式。例如: Li Lei decided to help Mary with her English. Mr Smith asked me to help him.
5. 在see,hear,watch,notice,let,make,help 等后面作宾语补足语的动词不定式可省略不定式符号 to。 例如:A woman saw it happen when she was walking past.
6.在It's time(for sb) to do sth. / It's very kind (nice,good) of sb to do sth. / It takes sb some time to do sth.的句型中使用不定式短语作句子的真正主语。例如:It's time for us to go to school.
7. “疑问代 / 副词(why除外)+to do sth”结构在句中可做主语、表语或宾语。例如:The question is when to start. I don't know where to go.

1. 分析句子结构:分隔与粘连是主要的重复信息的方式
A. 分隔:句子中对主干进行修饰或补充的成分
定语从句:that 同位语:that who “,” 插入语:“,” 分词结构:分词 不定式结构:to 介词短语:介词
B. 粘连:由分号或冒号分开的上下句结构(大粘连)和一个句子内部的直接简单重复(小粘连);大粘连:直接同义重复:并列、因果关系词
双重否定与肯定句重复:(1)A;not 非A (2)A;It’s wrong/foolish/presumptuous to say 非A
主动句与被动句重复:is the result of is the outgrowth of is the product of AB;Bby A
