美国研究生英文书信写作要求
申请美国研究生时,经常需要书写一些英文的书信,即便是在写邮件的时候也需要注意一些英文书信的写作要求,在去美国读研究生套磁的过程中,也要注意以下的英文书信写作要求。
英文书信的种类,可分为三种。社交信(Social Letters),家信(Family Letters),及商业信(Business Letters)。
一封英文书信主要由下列部分组成:
1. Heading(信头)
2. Inside Address(信内地址(这部分只应用于正式商业书信)
3. Salutation(称呼)
4. Body of Letter(信的正文)
5. Comp1imentary Close(结束语)
6. Signature(签名)
7. Enclosure(附件)
8. Postscript(附言)
9. Superscription信封写祛。
Heading信头
信头是指发信人的单位名称、地址、电话号码、电报挂号等,以及发信日期。发信人的名称和地址等应写在信纸的右上角,即在日期的上边。
日期也可以写在信纸后的签名下边。 书写地址的目的是使收信人知道回信地点和来之什么地方的信。第一行写门牌号码、路名,第二行写区
名、城名、省名。如寄国外的.信,则要写国名。著名城市则不必加列省名。
日期的写法,先写月份,后写日期,最后写年份。例如:一九九三,六月十日,应写为 June 10, 1993。
信头写法分为斜列式和并列式两种。写斜列式时,每行开头逐行向右缩进一、二个字母。并列式则各行一律排齐。
Inside Address信内地址
写好信头后,接着就要写收信人姓名和地址,按照英、美习惯,凡属公务商洽或商业往来的信件,都必须把姓名和地址再写一次,因为各种业务书信,处理者不止一人,容易发生混乱。社交书信一般写给亲友、熟人,大多由本人自行处理,不会引起混乱,所以可以省去。信内地址包括收信人的姓名、职位和单位地址,一般写在信头下面空一、二行处,写在信纸的左边。姓名和地址须与信封上所写相同。 在收信人名称之前,应冠以尊称,例如:
(1) Mr.(Mister),用于无职衔的男子。
(2) Mrs. ( Mistress)。用于已婚女子。
(3) Miss,用于未婚女子。
(4) Misses(Miss的复数),用于复数未婚女子。 (5)Dr·(Doctor),用于博士。
(6)Pro.(Professor),用于大学教授。
(7)Ms. 用于女士通称。
信内地址的次序:姓名和头衔占一行,下面写地址、单位名称占一行、门牌号码、路名、城名占一行,省名、国名占一行。信内地址也可写在签名下面的左边。
Salutation (称呼)
收信人的称呼,写在信内地址的下面,空一,二行,与信内地址第一行排齐,常用的称呼如下:

便条是一种简单的书信。虽然内容简单,但却有其独特的风格。主要目的是为了尽快的把最新的信息、通知、要求或者活动的时间、地点转告给对方。常见的便条有收条、欠条、留言和请假条等。
便条可以有题目,也可以省略题目。便条开篇须有称呼语,但称呼可以比较随便。日期部分可写在便条的右上角。日期的签署通常只需写星期几或星期几的上午、下午,也可只写上午或下午和具体时间。只写日期也可以。便条结尾须署上留条人的姓名,位置在正文的右下角。便条的形式和内容简洁,故可以用几句话概括。文内语言尽量通俗口语化,简单扼要,直截了当,无需使用客套语言。便条虽简单,但中心务必突出,更要注明活动的时间及地点。便条不需邮寄,不用信封。通常请人代为转交。有时可写在留言板和留言簿上。
