今天下午，我们班上了一节英语课，我很喜欢这节课。
上课了，老师没来前，班级内纪律很差，到处是说话的声音，我的耳朵都快被吵聋了。老师来了后，班级一下就静了下来。这时我看见老师手里拿着一个录音机走上讲台，我心想，老师拿录音机干什么呢？全班的.同学也在下面议论纷纷。这时，老师说：“这节课，老师给大家放一段英语录音，请同学们认真听。”由于录音的内容太有趣，我们从没有听过，全班的同学都很高兴，时时爆发出笑声。
放学回到家中，我把这件事告诉了妈妈，我还问妈妈：“我们小学为什么学英语？学英语有什么好处？”
妈妈笑着对我说：“学英语可以帮助我们和外国人交流呀，外国有些先进的技术，我们也可以学习，如果我们不懂英语，我们怎么向人家学习呀。”
听了妈妈的话，我才知道学习英语还有这么多好处，我以后一定要把英语学好，为祖国做贡献。
