Teaching procedures: StepⅠ Lead-in Play part of the movie of 2012 for the students before cla.T: Do you know what’s the name of the movie you have just watched? Ss:2012 T: Yes, 2012 is a movie about natural disasters.Do you know any natural disasters? S: flood, earthquake, volcano eruption, tornado, tsunami, ect.)T: Have you experienced a natural disaster? Ss: No.T: You are so lucky!But some people are not as lucky as you.Recently, when I surfed the Internet, I’ve got the news.The people in Taiwan and Hainan were suffering from typhoon.Many people were killed and many people got lost.From the map, we can see the typhoon came from the sea, moved to Taiwan, swept over Hainan and now land on Fujian.It’s quiet near Guangxi.So maybe next time , it will land on Guigang and knocked at your door.T: So what is typhoon really like.Now I will show you a video.After watching it, please tell me how do you feel about typhoon.And what damage does typhoon cause? Ss: Frighteded, scared, powerful, strong.The trees were blown down.The house were destroyed/ damaged.The street was flooded.The people got hurt.T: Since typhoon can cause great damage, it is really dangerous to ships while they are ship.at sea.Today
