在北京2008年残奥会隆重开幕之际，我谨代表北京奥组委，向来自世界各国家、地区的运动员、教练员和各位来宾表示热烈的欢迎！向国际残奥委会，向所有参与北京残奥会筹办工作的建设者、工作者和关心支持本届残奥会的朋友们表示衷心的感谢！
北京残奥会是全世界残疾人运动员的盛会。来自147个国家、地区的4000多名残疾人运动员将在“超越、融合、共享”的主题下，参与各项竞赛，展示自强不息、顽强拼搏、热爱生活、超越自我的精神风貌，尽情享受残奥运动带来的激情与梦想。
北京残奥会是全世界残疾人的盛会。残奥会不仅可以激发人们对生活的热爱，也将给人们以激励和启迪，唤起人们对残疾人更多的理解、尊重与关爱，使人道主义精神得到大力弘扬，残疾人事业得到进一步发展。
北京残奥会还是全世界人民的盛会。来自五大洲的朋友们将在北京残奥会上加强交流与合作，共享团结、友谊、和平的精神，奏响“同一个世界，同一个梦想”的乐章，推动人类的文明进步，促进世界的和谐发展。
