一.教材分析
1.内容:本模块以Cloning 为话题,重点就“ Talking about past and present regrets.”及这两个功能项目展开训练。旨在通过本模块的学习和训练,让学生初步了解一些生命科学方面的知识,并能就这一话题发表自己的看法。
2.特点:本模块的话题是生命科学方面的话题,这话题不接近学生的实际生活,不容易激发学生的学习兴趣。
3.位置:本模块是系列选修6中的第五模块,话题是独立的:语法是第一次出现在Grammar.部分。
4.学情:本模块的话题是不容易激发学生的学习兴趣,老师可根据实际情况降低难度:同时在语法的教学中要用多些时间。

这一课时以让学生看图片描述怪物引入这部分恐怖影片背景知识的介绍,学习与模块主题相
关的词汇。本课时设计为一堂阅读课。
第一步:学习本模块的单词。
第二步:在学习本模块的单词的基础上,让学生朗读活动3方框中的单词,并完成句子。
第三步:展示一张天池怪物的图片,让学生描述怪物,从而引入课本41页的图片。
第四步:让学生谈论图片,老师问 where does the picture come from? Do you know something about the film? 等问题引入Frankenstein这个话题。.第五步:让学生阅读活动2中的短文,然后回答以下问题:
1)When was the film made?2)Who was the author of the novel Frankenstein?
3)What is the young man in the picture doing?4)What does the monster look like?
5)What is story about?
第六步:让学生讨论以下问题:
1)Gue what is the ending of the story?What do you think of the film?
2)What do you think of the monster?
第七步:作业 1)复习单词。2)预习课文。

这一课时的主要任务是完成阅读课的五项活动,是一堂阅读课。
第一步:词汇的学习。复习本模块的单词,并让学生朗读活动3方框中的单词,回答课本42页的问题。
第二步:让学生讨论回答以下问题,激发学生阅读课文的兴趣:

第三步:快速阅读Part1.和Part2,并完成相对应的练习。

这一课时主要任务是对学生找出课文中的语言点进行讲解。本课时为一堂精读课。
第一步:,根据下面问题的提示,用第一人称复述Part1.:(Suppose you are the creator.)What did you create? 2.What does the monster look like?
3.What did it ask you to do?4.What did the monster do? 5.What happened in the end?
第二步:对学生和老师找出课文中的语言点进行讲解。(黑体部分为讲解部分)
