Can man triumph over nature? Nowadays,science and technology has advanced so much that sometimes human beings begin to have the illusion that they have the ability to conquer nature.But that’s just an illusion.In my opinion,no matter how many years later,we still don’t have confidence in triumphing over nature.While it’s true that we can predict weather and even produce artificial rain if neceary,we can do nothing but escape from an earthquake-stricken area and we can not stop a tornado from destroying our habitants.Too many examples illustrate that we are clever enough to take advantage of nature but not strong enough to triumph over it.However,many of us continue being arrogant and pretending that we are the master of the world.We cut down trees and do fishing without limits;at the same time,we waste water and food which might be in short supply in the near future.Today’s worldwide problems such as global warming are actually results of our over confidence.So all in all,we have never got the ability to triumph over nature.All we should do is to respect nature and what it has given us and to comply with nature.I sincerely hope that we human beings will live in harmony with all the other creatures on earth,and let nature be itself.
