Ladies and gentlemen,good morning!I’m an outgoing girl.I’m from a small village.Pink is my favorite clor.I have many hobbies like playing basketball with my friends in my free time.I also like telling jokes.So I’m very popular in my school.My friends like staying with me.They say I’m humorous and they feel relaxed with such a girl.They often call me “Happy girl”.Well, let Happy girl give you a great speech for you.The topic is “The changes of my hometown”.My hometown is Penglai which is in the east of Shandong Province.It’s famous for “the world fairyland”.Since ancient times, Penglai is a city with a long history.It’s not very large, but it’s very beautiful.It’s a beautiful place.It stands beside a beautiful sea it’s rich in seafoods which are very delicious and fresh.There are many famous places of interests.There are many visitors come to my hometown.They are are fascinated with it’s beautiful secenry.But in the old days it was a poor and backward little town.Many people had no work.They lived a hard life.In 1949 my hometown was liberated.Since then great changes have taken place there.The streets have been widened.Factories, schools, hospitals, cinemas and theatres have sprung up one after another.The life of the people is greatly improved.In the past people had le money on improving Clothing, housing, with line.Most of them could’t afford enough food for eating.Not to mention comprehensive nutrition.Only a few of the rich had money to buy fashionable clothes.The people’s Living environmentis simple and extremely difficult.In transport, people mainly rely on walking or horses,which had low efficiency.If they happened to impotant things ,they could’t solve them in time.The roads are narrow ,muddy and winding.It is extremely inconvenient for walking when people went out.But nowadays the situation has undergone tremendous changes.The government are trying it’s best to provide a variety of facilities to serve the welfare of the people.People’s lives and living environment has been greatly improved.The road are wider and cleaner than before.People's income has greatly increases.They can buy variety delicious food according to their preferences.They are more fashionable than before.There are many modern home appliances like TV sets, telephones , fridges ,computers and so on.The transportation are more convenient than before.There are more private cars and people can go anywhere at any time.They can go outby bike ,by plane, by train, by subway or ship.But thepollution is worse than before.Many factories are producing plenty of wasted water and gas which pollute environment.Air pollution is more serious than before.Many trees have been cut down leads to soil erosion, All above-mentioned are also the changes of my hometown.I hope that the relevant departments should pay moreattention to these prolems.I love my hometown.I love the people here.They are kind ,simple and friendly.They are working hard in order to make my hometown richer and more beautiful.Welcome to my hometown.I will show you around.That’s all for my speech.Thank you!
