Good morning, boys and girls.I amXX majoring in XX.Today my topic is DINK family.I believe that some students may have watched a TV series, named Husband and wife, which is about the DINK family.Dink is a short form of Double Income No Kids, which was first mentioned in 1989.It means that a family with two incomes has no children.According to a social survey, there are 600,000 DINK families in large cities.70% of respondents believe that the number of DINK family will increase.Another survey show that nearly 20% women who ages between 15 to 59 consent to marriage with no baby, and 24.7% of young women require no children after marriage in Beijing, shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu.In the earlier stages, DINK families are high educated, high income young people.Women are independent, and have a greater discourse power.Gradually, DINK becomes a fashion trend, and spread to the low-end crowd.There is a phenomenon in China that most people born after 1980s prefer living a life with no kids.The reason might be quite varied.Firstly, the born after 1980s is spoiled by parents, there is no suffering in their growing proce.They are not prepared to accept the role of adults, can’t aume the responsibility of family.Secondly, many young women think that perfect love only exists in two people’s world.Children are considered to be “a third party”, may destroy the romantic atmosphere.Thirdly, the pain of give birth to a child is been called one of the top ten pain, so many young women don’t want to suffer pregnancy.Lastly, young girls are not willing to be housewives, they put work at the first place, and the concept of raising children to protect themselves from old age is out-of-date.Every coin has two sides, So as the DINK family.Some young couples insist that a kid is a burden, being a DINK family can keep away from the burden.Raising a kid, you have to pay for medical treatment, powder milk, education and insurance.Someone figured out you’ll cost 300,000 in 20 years.On the other hand, without a kid, you don’t have to face a lot of trivial iues, then you can lead quiet and peaceful life.What’s more, some even think a nonporous can easily maintain a nice figure, without worrying about cyasma, fatne or something else.But other couples consider that cultivating children makes their life more significant, human beings push society to move forward.Children are the flowers and hopes of a country, and thus breeding up children is a kind of social responsibility and duty.Even more, children are like adjustors that can make lovers be more patient and forbearing since they are the products of love and the common goals of the life of the couples, thus to shap happy family.In my opinion, I certainly don’t approve of DINK.The DINK lifestyle can be a shallow one, adding nothing to the propagation of the race and family line.DINKs will never know the joy and pride of bringing up sons and daughters, seeing them develop into productive citizens, educated and trained in the fields that make China specially, and faithful to the old folks when the time comes.
