Mary likes sugar very much,but her mother doesn’t give her.It is bad for her teeth,her mother thinks.But Mary has a very nice grandpa.The old man loves mary very much and sometimes he buys some sugar.Then Mary’mother lets her ea it because she wants make the old man happy.Today is Friday.It is Mary’s eighth birthday.She says,“Please,God(上帝),make them give me a big box of sugar for my birthday.”Her mother says,“God can’t hear you.”
“I know,”says Mary,“but grandpa is in the next room,and he can.”
Paage Seven There is a poor man.He has an orange.It is very ,very big ,as big as a football.Nobody sees such a big orange before(以前).Then the poor man gives it to the King(国王).The King is very happy,so he gives the poor man a lot of money for it.A rich mqn thinks,“It’s only an orange.Why does the King give so much money for it? I’ll take my gold cup to the King.”
When the King sees the gold cup,he says to the rich man,“The cup is so beautiful!I’ll show you something great.Please take this great orange away.”

You can put money in a piggy bank.When you need to buy something, you can take money out of it.It is sometimes hard to get the money out from it ,so you just leave your money in.You can’t spend the money in it.So a piggy bank helps you save(储存、保存)your money.
